You can check if a company is registered under CAC by visiting the cooperation’s public search portal and check the database. To do this simply visit publicsearch.cac.gov.ng:8080
Now enter the name of the company without “Limited” or “LTD”, Check the “I am not a robot” CAPTCHA and click submit. If the company is registered it will display in the search result with the RC No, registered address and date of registration.
If the company is undergoing registration it will also be stated in the search result. However, if you don’t get any result in the search it means the company isn’t registered under CAC and therefore isn’t licensed to operate.
