Ekiti Governor, Biodun Oyebanji has reacted to an accident involving a train and a Lagos State BRT staff bus, Thursday morning, in Shogunle area of Ikeja.
It was learned that the blue staff bus was trying to cross, with the moving train closing in. The train hit the bus and dragged it from PWD Bus Stop to Shogunle, where it stopped.

My heartfelt condolences to my brother, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the Government and people of Lagos State over the unfortunate train accident that occurred today, claiming the lives of about six people and leaving several others injured.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the families and colleagues of the victims of the accidents at this difficult time. We share in the grief of the Government and Lagosians in general and pray for speedy recovery of those who sustained injuries in the accident. The Government and people of Ekiti State stand in solidarity with our Lagos State counterparts, and we offer our support during this trying time.
May the souls of the departed rest in peace, and may God grant their families and loved ones the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.
