Monday, 25th April at Kano state, northern Nigeria, the Leadership of the Nigeria Patriotic Coalition (NPC) paid a solidarity visit to the ancestral home of late Nigerian Head of State, General Muritala Ramat Mohammed at Yakassai area of Kano.

The objective of the visit encompassed the delivery of a goodwill message from Governor Kayode Fayemi to the family of the late Head of State, who Nigerians continuously describe as the best leader, Nigeria ever had.
It is believed that the family of General Muritala has been neglected by successive governments despite the great lead he provided for Nigeria during his short stint as Nigerian Head of State.
The unmistakable sincerity during reception of the delegation by the family of the late head of state, (Ibrahim Ramat, & his only living sister) reechoed Dr Fayemi’s consistent advocacy for Nigeria’s unity under purposeful leadership as once exemplified by the late Head of State.
The family members prayed for Governor Fayemi noting that he was one of the few Nigerian leader that deemed it fit to remember the good deeds of the late military head of state with the honour of a solidarity visit .
The team also visited the tomb of late General Muritala, at Masallachi Muritala where the Chief Imam Kabiru led the delegation to pray for the late Head of State, Governor Fayemi and his campaign group.
NPC was lead by Hon. Yemi Akinbode, Dr.Mrs. Moji ayaya Kolade, Malam Ishaq Ahmed (Northwest Coordinator), Malam Kabara Suleiman (Kano Coordinator), & other NPC coordinators who had arrived earlier for the first Northwest Stakeholders meeting of the group in Kano.
