The Director-General of the Ekiti State Signage and Advertisement
Agency, Mr. Olasunkanmi Onipede has warned owners of billboards and
posters illegally erected across the State to immediately remove them
or they would be made to face the wrath of the law.
Mr. Onipede who gave this warning in Ado-Ekiti while on an inspection
tour of the State to monitor compliance with the State Signage laws,
expressed displeasure at the rate in which billboards and Posters across the State without due permit from the Signage Agency.

Political parties and politicians towards curbing the incessant
littering of the State with posters and defacing the environment with
illegally placed billboards, cautioning that there would be no sacred
cow as no political party is exempted from obeying the law.
Stressing that the Signage Agency cannot afford to fold its arms while
disorder prevails in the sector, Onipede emphasized that the agency is
responsible for regulating and generating revenue for outdoor signage
and advertisement in the State.
